Blizzard developers have declared that it would take approximately four hours just to showcase the vast amount of new content planned for Diablo 4’s Season 2: Season of Blood.
Diablo 4 broke Blizzard’s records upon its launch, becoming the fastest-selling game in the company's history. In just its first five days, the game accrued sales of $666 million. On July 20, Season 1 of Diablo dropped with new content, including its own unique rewards and mission objectives for players to complete across seven chapters.
Yet, as the game progressed, it experienced a decline in player count, leading to calls for a considerable overhaul of Diablo 4's Season 2: Season of Blood.
Blizzard's Promises for Diablo 4 Season 2
Observing this criticism, Blizzard developers have taken it upon themselves to emphasize the breadth of new content coming in the season. They have stated that they would require four hours to reveal all the incoming updates and changes.
However, despite the promising outlook, many players remain skeptical, believing that the damage already incurred may be too substantive.
One community member expressed, “We can hope, let’s be totally honest, this season will be a bit of a make or break for the game’s future.” Another voiced their skepticism, “These guys hype up literally nothing like its the best thing ever so this means absolutely nothing”, while another player even went as far as to say: “I think some people, like me, will already have gone.”
Blizzard has big plans for Season 2 with players set to step into the shoes of a Vampire hunter, battling against the forces of hell. The upcoming Season of Blood is set to begin immediately after the conclusion of Season 1 on October 17, 2023.
