Twitch has handed an indefinite ban to a controversial Fortnite streamer who made inappropriate remarks about children during a live session.
The gaming community was stunned earlier in August when HydraSZN began to make a series of inappropriate remarks, suggesting himself as a child predator, causing quite the uproar.
A clip was uploaded on Twitter showing the streamer using a slur against a player in the game after getting revenge on them for an earlier killing.
moments later, he made a distasteful joke about liking children, going as far as to claim, “Oh, I swear to God I do, on my life I’m a little child predator.”
Twitch has now incorporated disciplinary action by imposing an indefinite suspension on the streamer, which doesn't seem it will be lifted anytime soon.
Fortnite Streamer Banned On Twitch After Inappropriate Comments
On August 24, HydraSZN shared a screenshot on social media showing that Twitch had permanently banned him due to the nature of his content.
The email from Twitch stated, “We have removed your content as it included elements that could put you or someone you know at risk. This includes content that could encourage inappropriate attention towards people under 18.”
HydraSZN appealed the ban, but Twitch stood its ground, leaving the streamer very upset. He blamed a community member for having a vendetta against him after the clip spread on social media.
“All cause some guy has a vendetta against me. I wanna quit, nothing goes my way.” he said. “I was on my way to partner too. I was so excited for TwitchCon and being partnered. It was a sense of accomplishment. Then a Twitch staff sees his tweet and decides to ban me today. I’m an idiot.”
Despite the ban, HydraSZN has shifted to Kick and still aims to make a prominent name in streaming.
This is not an isolated incident, as previously in 2021, a Brazilian Fortnite streamer also faced a Twitch ban after being arrested on charges of allegedly raping two children.
